Jesus Dropped the Charges

Updated: Apr 29, 2021

Wow-what a crazy few months! I don't know about you but my brain hit the COVID wall during all of this. Ugh.

Although my life is flourishing during this time, the downtime gave me too much room to think. I am grateful for everything especially my health and my family's health and safety, I got caught up in the "when will it go wrong" scenarios. It put me back into all the mistakes I have made in my life. So when I say "people" I meant judging myself. It was not a good place to be.

Where did I go from here?

Well, it wasn't easy. Getting stuck in the doom and gloom is hard to get out of, especially in a time of quarantine. I had decisions to make.

A) I could use this time to dwell and live in the doom and gloom and have it define me and my future or

B)Use this time to go for the gold and become everything I want to be.

I took the time to take a step back on everything and go deep into prayer, making sure I came out of this as the best version of myself. I looked at my failures in the face and told them that Jesus "dropped the charges" and was able to see the light within those failures. Because they were merely momentary set backs that built me up to continue to grow and learn.

Man, it is hard to change that thought process.

One thing I remembered: GOD only wants what is best for us! Stop asking to be punished!

So how God? How?

I asked Jesus for help.

Jesus sent me inspiration through signs and symbols.

Jesus sent me the right people at the right time to keep me inspired and focused on my goals. Taking away to doom and gloom and keeping me smiling and reaching for the gold.

Jesus reminded me that the past is lessons learned and not a definition of me.

Jesus reminded me of the Angels that cheer me on daily.

More than often Jesus sent me this passage almost daily:

"For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord. Plans for welfare and not evil. To give you hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11

With that powerful reminder, the charges have been dropped and new doors to the future have opened.

Now, every moment of doubt I change it to "Jesus I trust in you" and give it to him. Turn the thought into a smile of getting through a hard situation and look at the light in front of me. It has been a game-changer for me.

Don't be afraid to ask Jesus to "drop the charges" in your life and let Jesus take the wheel to the next big plans in your life.

Keeping you all in my prayers that you are safe and healthy. God Bless you!
